I'm following the hottie with the tattoos again. I have no idea how I got here, but here I am—pajamas and all. He sure has a thing for alleys. He's creeping along one, and I get the feeling he's stalking someone. I haven't been following him long enough to see who he's after. It doesn't really matter anyway, I'm more fascinated by the man himself. Who is he? Why is he in my dreams? Is there any chance he's real, or is Mr. Sexy just an image my subconscious made up as an equivalent to what I find incredibly appealing?

When the mystery guy comes to an abrupt stop, I almost breeze right through him since I'm not solid. I quickly scramble backwards, not really wanting to experience my body flowing through someone else's—even if he is ridiculously good-looking. When I'm safely three feet away, I stand there and watch as his eyes scan the area intently. “I can feel you,” he murmurs in a deliberate tone that has an edge to it.

He can't be talking about me, can he?

His eyes narrow, and he takes a confident step in my direction. I back up a step. He moves forward again, and suddenly I'm worried that he might actually be sensing me. I back up with fear, and then I'm falling as my stomach lodges in my throat.

I gasp, my eyes flying open as I realize I'm lying in my own bed. I draw in a deep breath and exhale as I try to calm my pounding heart. Slowly, I peer around my room to reassure myself that I'm safe and that it hadn't been real.

A squeak of alarm escapes me when I see a man's shadow standing by my balcony doors. I lunge for the lamp and almost knock it over in my haste to turn it on. Once it's on, I squint where I'd thought I'd seen the shadow.

No one's there.

I look around my empty room uneasily.

That was...strange.
